Marisa Burman

I have a quiet story, but my hope is always to represent Jesus.  My parents raised me to know Jesus, and I have had a relationship with him since I invited him into my heart during Vacation Bible School when I was six years old.  I demonstrated my commitment through baptism during middle school and was very active in my church’s youth group.  Being a part of that group helped to stretch me through experiences I would have missed otherwise.  I have spent nearly my entire life in Harford County, MD. After graduating from Bel Air High School, I attended Milligan College in TN.  I returned home to teach at North Harford High School for a few years before starting a family.  My husband, Chris, and I are raising four children in hopes that they, too, shine for Jesus.  After helping launch a new church in Baltimore County, we knew we needed a church close to home.  We were thrilled to find Calvary Chapel of Delta because they teach directly out of the Bible!  We have been attending Calvary Chapel since 2009. We have enjoyed serving in many different ways over the years.  This new sewing ministry had its beginnings in the spring of 2018.  This is a way for people to use their skills as more than a hobby, but as a way to come together and serve the Lord.

Marisa leads the “Calvary Stitchers” sewing group.
